Thai To Walk is a Thai street-food takeaway at 94 High Street, Bedford. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website.
The short version
This website does not collect personal information about you directly — there are no contact forms, accounts or logins, and no analytics or advertising trackers. Two optional features involve third parties: the embedded Google map on our “Find us” section (only if you load it), and online ordering, which is handled by Flipdish on our Order page. Any details you enter to place an order are processed by Flipdish — see “Online ordering” below.

Information collected automatically
Hosting
Our website is hosted by Netlify. Like all web hosts, Netlify’s servers automatically process basic technical information needed to deliver the site and keep it secure — for example your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is standard server activity and is not used to identify you.
Fonts
We load typefaces from Google Fonts. To serve them, Google may receive your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies through this site.
The map
Our “Find us” section can show a Google map. The map is blocked until you choose to load it. If you load it, Google sets cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control this.
Online ordering
You can place orders through our Order page, which embeds an ordering system provided by Flipdish. If you order, the details you enter — such as your name, contact details, delivery address, and order and payment information — are collected and processed by Flipdish to take payment and pass your order to us. Flipdish provides this service under its own privacy policy; we receive your order details so we can prepare and deliver or hand over your food. If you don’t use the Order page, none of this applies.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR we rely on: your consent for loading the Google map and its cookies; performance of a contract when you place an order (to prepare it, take payment and deliver, via Flipdish); and our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website (the technical data above).
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. The only third parties involved are the service providers that make the site work:
- Netlify — website hosting.
- Google — Google Fonts and (only if you load it) Google Maps.
- Flipdish — online ordering and payment processing (only if you place an order).
These providers process data on servers that may be outside the UK; they operate under their own privacy terms and appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We don’t hold a database of website visitors. Technical server logs are kept by our host only for as long as needed for security and operation. Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. As we don’t collect personal data through this site, in most cases we’ll have nothing on file — but you’re welcome to contact us with any request.
If you have a concern you can also contact the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is a general menu and information page and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
